Business Challenge
There was a need for faster API Development and onboarding to enable faster Integrations to provide better experiences to partners & customers. The client wanted to adopt an API- first approach across the organization’s digital practice. There was a need for a robust and operationally effective integration platform that supported and aligned with customer growth.
Coforge Solution
The client wanted cloud-native digital experience and integration capabilities. Coforge stepped in with a fully functional Kong Connect Platform with a streamlined API OPS framework to onboard APIs within minutes. Coforge provided the following:
- Set up of Runtime Groups to support multiple Non-Prod and Prod environments.
- A customized Developer Portal to allow discovery of Onboarded & Published APIs.
- A total of 15+ APIs were onboarded onto Kong API Gateway across dev, qa, uat and prod environments which includes Internal APIs, DuckCreek APIs, OneInc APIs, Majesco APIs and TripExcess API.
- 2 versions of the fully functional APIOPS framework. One version for Internal APIs that use dedicated AWS Code Commit Repositories and another generic framework for delivery of all External APIs.
- Role Based Access Control of Developers onboarded onto Developer Portal.
- Detailed documentation & recorded demonstrations of every aspect of API Onboarding Using Kong Konnect including executed Unit Test Cases, API Flow designs, Endpoints supporting multiple environments, Role Based Access Control of Developer Portal & Postman Test Scripts.
- Empowered the client to use Kong System Accounts and associated Tokens as needed.
- Enabled Kong Global plugins to siphon logs and observability metrics over to SumoLogic through AWS Cloudwatch.
