- The spike in volume due to ‘Corporate Action Events’ required adding transactions manually to performance platform.
- Manual repetitive work which doesn’t require any decision making while processing as there are no changes in quantity just amending the book cost.
- To update corporate action events via Legacy platform required logging in each bank/client using multiple credentials.
- Onshore tasks dependency on offshore output.
- Overlapping cut off timings of various activities.
- Large size recon files (excel) too heavy and time consuming while being worked on.
Solution & Execution
- Created ‘Stored Procedure (SQL) to update and insert records.
- Macros created to eliminate manual steps in being able to reach the desired screen on the platform.
- Leveraged Geographical time difference between onshore and offshore to provide output prior to onshore staff login.
- Identified opportunities that can be automated and deployed Macros (Excel).
- Macros template were created to reduce the file size.
