A leading technology observability and monitoring platform, serving enterprise organizations across the globe with over 700 technology integrations, faced a pressing need: delivering consistent, round-the-clock support to globally distributed engineering teams. They needed a solution without scaling headcount, so they turned to Coforge.

The Challenge

The organization's engineering teams were spread across multiple time zones, but support operations were centralized in a single region. Every off-hour issue became a waiting game, with response delays disrupting productivity during peak volumes and urgent operational events.

Repetitive, high-volume tasks, including access provisioning and rate limit configuration, consumed disproportionate engineering effort. Without a self-service mechanism, users submitted requests manually, creating queues, rework loops, and frustration.

Scaling by adding headcount was neither financially viable nor aligned with the organization's growth strategy. They needed an intelligent solution that could autonomously handle routine support workflows around the clock and set the foundation for broader AI-driven automation.

Our Approach

 

Coforge designed and deployed a multi-agent, RAG-based virtual assistant, embedded directly within Slack, powered by a fully AWS-native architecture built on Amazon Bedrock. The assistant functions as an intelligent extra team member: available around the clock, capable of understanding natural-language requests, and empowered to execute real actions within backend systems without human intervention.

Slack-Native Interaction and Serverless Ingestion

Engineers submit requests in plain language, directly within Slack. The assistant receives the message instantly via Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda, triggering the fulfillment pipeline without any manual handoff.

Supervisor Agent and Intent Routing

A LangGraph-based supervisor agent identifies what the engineer needs and routes the request to the right fulfillment path: a knowledge query, an access request, or an API configuration change.

RAG Pipeline and LLM Inference via Amazon Bedrock

The assistant retrieves relevant context from the organization's knowledge sources and generates an accurate, contextual response powered by Amazon Bedrock.

Agentic Action Execution and Observability

Specialist agents complete backend actions end-to-end within the Slack workflow, from rate limit changes to access provisioning. Amazon CloudWatch maintains full operational visibility across the pipeline.
