The client was challenged with safety and compliance with the existing ramp management system. In addition, the application had performance challenges and high cost of maintenance, built on legacy technologies – Sybase and Power Builder. This monolithic implementation of an outdated technology with no platform support made it challenging to maintain. The rigid structure led to costly and risky enhancements, slower go-to-market (GTM), and extended-release cycles.
The project required a deep domain understanding of the application to extract the business use cases from the existing application stack. We undertook a green-field development of the application using microservices architecture and a web-enabled user interface. This cloud-first application approach allowed for agility and a flexible architecture that adopted technologies like Kubernetes and Angular.
Our solution involved:
Leveraging our expertise in modernizing legacy systems, we delivered the project using microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions to deliver improved user experience, enhanced system performance, and agility into the client's technology landscape along with significant cost savings.
