Tim Catling

Tim Catling has been a management consultant and program manager undertaking IT assignments in aviation for over 20 years with major airlines, aviation suppliers and GDSs. For the past two years Tim was responsible for a portfolio of Emirates IT Operations projects. These included crew and flight tracking, new pilot tablets, fatigue risk management, crisis management, airport self-service, cargo sales force effectiveness and cargo compliance.

Prior to that Tim led Cathay Pacific’s successful PSS migration from Unisys to Amadeus with a team of over 200 CX and supplier staff and a budget of over US$100 million. He then went onto drive cross functional initiatives in disruption management, airport self-service and renegotiating all CX’s Amadeus support contracts. Prior to that Tim was program director for the successful ‘Big Switch’ migration of Etihad’s Reservations, Inventory, Departure Control and IBE from Amadeus to Sabre.

Tim was previously a partner with PA Consulting Group leading their air transport business. During that time he supported BA’s original PSS selection, contracting and negotiating with Amadeus.
